Bio

Stan Harrison begins his 18th season as the head coach of the women's golf program for the 2023-2024 season.
 
Coach Harrison took over the Lady Bulldog golf program in 2006 but has been with the university since 1982 and coached women's basketball at TWU for 24 years. Under his tutelage, the golf program has seen steady progress. The team won the Appalachian Athletic Conference and NAIA Region XII championship in 2007-2008 and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament. Due to the success of the team in 2007-2008, Coach Harrison was named NAIA Region XII Coach of the Year. The 2008-2009 team won the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship and again advanced to the NAIA National Championships.
 
Coach Harrison was named the AAC Coach of the Year for 2008-2009. The team also won the AAC Championship and again advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in 2010-2011. Since the inception of the program, there have been numerous All-Conference and All-Academic selections. Coach Harrison was named to the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2019, the fourth person from TWU to achieve the accomplishment. 
 
During his time as head women's basketball coach at TWU, Coach Harrison held a 505-244 career record. Coach Harrison is the winningest coach in women's basketball program history. Coach Harrison's teams won nine conference championships and qualified for seven NAIA National Tournaments.
 
On the personal side, Coach Harrison has been married to his wife, Debbie since 1972. Together they have two children, Chris (Nashville) and Jennifer, and eight grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Hayden, Maddie, Todd,  Andrew, Carter, and Cooper.
