WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The women's lacrosse team were playing for a trip to the championship game at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament on Friday. The fourth-seeded Lady Bulldogs were not able to find a rhythm on offense though, falling to the No. 1 seed Reinhardt University Lady Eagles 22-2 in the semifinals.
TWU got in a hole early as Reinhardt scored the first seven goals of the game. Olivia Downey got TWU on the board in the second quarter to make the score 7-1. Reinhardt scored the next four goals to lead 11-1 at halftime.
Stephanie Rocha scored the remaining goal for the Lady Bulldogs in the third quarter. The team could not turn the momentum though as Reinhardt scored the remaining goals in the game.
The team finished the season with six wins, the most wins in a season since 2019.
