Athens, Tenn.- The women's soccer team returned to action on Saturday. The team hosted the Columbia International University Lady Rams in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest.

Tennessee Wesleyan was on the attack early and often in the first half. Krista Eik Hardardottir had the first three shots for the Bulldogs, while Jill De Waal, Jamie York, Jordan Smith, and Cristina Escrig followed with shots of their own. The shots did not produce a goal in the first half though and the defense kept the opponents out of the net, sending the game to halftime scoreless.

Five minutes into the second half, the scoreless tie was broken. Hardardottir scored on a De Waal assist in the 50th minute to give the Lady Bulldogs a 1-0 advantage. The duo connected again on a goal in the 64th minute to extend the lead to two goals. A third goal occurred in the game in the 81st minute. This time it came from Lucia Bonfante scoring on a Claudia Lopez del Pino assist, helping TWU win the game 3-0.

Laia Roch Font had three saves in the net for the Lady Bulldogs.

The win moved Tennessee Wesleyan's record to 10-4 overall and 9-2 in the AAC.
