Women's Soccer Blitz Bluefield

BLUEFIELD, Va.- The women's soccer team went on the road for an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game on Saturday. The team made quick work of the Bluefield University Lady Rams, scoring four goals in the first half of a 6-0 win.

Ten minutes into the game, Krista Eik Hardardottir scored the first goal of the game on an assist by Alexandra Machado. Six minutes later, Valerie Koopman put the Lady Bulldogs up by two goals, scoring on an Addison Smith assist. A penalty kicks accounted for the team's third and fourth goals of the contest, scored by Hardardottir and Rosie Dunkerton, respectively.

In the second half, TWU scored two goals in 40 seconds to get to their six-goal advantage. Natascha Frei scored the first of the two on a Koopman assist. Lisa Kirwan gave the team the final goal of the game off Smith's second assist to give the team a 6-0 win.

The win moved the team's record to 3-1-2 overall and 3-0-2 in the AAC.
