Women's Soccer Shutouts Bryan

DAYTON, Tenn.- The women's soccer team stayed on the road for an Appalachian Athletic Confernece (AAC) contest on Wednesday. The team defeated their rivals, the Bryan College Lady Lions, 6-0.

The scoring started early for the Lady Bulldogs, who went ahead 1-0 on a Krista Eik Hardardottir goal in the 10th minute. Marte Stokseth and Maggie Aird had assists on the goal. Aird got in on the scoring action three minutes later, converting a pass from Stokseth into the team's second goal. Rosie Dunkerton made the score 3-0 at halftime, scoring on a free kick in the 40th minute.

After scoring quickly in the first half, the second half saw the time elapse before its first goal. Addison Smith put the first goal of the second half on the board in the 78th minute. Three minutes later, Hardardottir scored her second goal of the game, this time off a Lisa Kirwan assist. Kirwan and Hardardottir assisted on the final goal of the game, a score in the 85th minute by Stokseth to get the team to the final score of 6-0.

The win moved the team's record to 4-1-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the AAC.
