
Women's Soccer Set to Face Oregon Tech in NAIA Tournament First Round
ATHENS, Tenn.- For the second consecutive season, the women's soccer team is heading to the national tournament. As a virtue of getting to the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament Championship game, Tennessee Wesleyan knew their season was going to be extended due to getting the league's second automatic bid. The team was waiting to find out where they were going for the 2024 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament First and Second Rounds. They learned the destination on Saturday.
The bracket sees the Lady Bulldogs go to West Palm Beach, Fla., for a three-team bracket, hosted by Keiser University. The team's opening game in the Sunshine State is against the Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) Lady Owls.
Oregon Tech, a member of the Casade Collegiate Conference (CCC), enters the game with a 15-5-1 overall record and a 9-3 overall record. Oregon Tech had scored 42 goals on the season and only surrendered 17 goals to their opponents. Oregon Tech finished second in the CCC regular season standing and were the CCC Tournament Runner-ups. The Lady Owls boast the CCC Goalkeeper of the Year (Sydni Nakamura) and the CCC Defensive Player of the Year (Carly Moss).
TWU and Oregon Tech are set to play on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 1:00 p.m., on Keiser's campus in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The winner of the game will go on to face the No. 3 seed in the tournament, the hosts Keiser University on Saturday, Nov. 23.
