No. 6 Women's Tennis Falls in Battle Against No. 5 Middle Georgia State

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.- The women's tennis team were back in action at the 2025 ITA NAIA Women's Team Indoor Championships on Saturday. The sixth-ranked Lady Bulldogs fell in a battle 4-3 to No. 5 Middle Georgia State University. 

TWU took the first lead through winning the doubles point. Olivia Alcala and Laia Berne won the No. 1 doubles point 6-3 while Mercedes Chasset and Ivet Prat won the No. 2 doubles point 6-2.

A 3-3 tie occured with wins by Alcala in No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-3 and Prat in the No. 5 singles match 6-4, 7-5. Unfortunately, Middle Georgia State took the deciding point to win the match.

The Lady Bulldogs (0-2) will close their time at the championships on Sunday with a match for seventh place against No. 18 William Woods University at 9:00 a.m. ET.
