No. 6 Women's Tennis Finishes Seventh at ITA NAIA Women's Team Indoor Championships

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.- The women's tennis team funished their time at the 2025 ITA NAIA Women's Team Indoor Championships on Sunday. The sixth-ranked Lady Bulldogs left the championships with the seventh place title after sweeping No. 18 William Woods University 4-0.

Mercedes ChassetIvet Prat, Julia Richardet, and Honoka Tsuji helped the team win the doubles point. The former won the No. 2 doubles 6-1 while the latter won the No. 3 doubles 6-2.

The remaining three points for the sweep came from Laia Berne, Chasset, and Prat. Berne won the No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-3, Chasset won the No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-0 while Prat took the No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-2. 

The Lady Bulldogs (1-2) plays their first conference match on Friday against Johnson University. The home opener for the team is set for 2:30 p.m.
