Prat Wins AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- Ivet Prat was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday. This was the third edition of the weekly award this season.

Prat took home the award based on her play against two NCAA opponents, Belmont Abbey College from Division II and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga of NCAA Division I. In a 1-1 week for the Lady Bulldogs, the Barcelona, Spain native was 3-0 with an unfinished doubles match where she and her doubles partner were leading the match 5-4 before the point was clinched. In the win against Belmont Abbey, Prat won her doubles match with doubles 6-0 while winning her singles match 6-1, 6-1. The sophomore's other win of the week came in her singles match against UT Chattanooga, a 6-3, 6-1 win.

This is the first weekly award of the season for Prat. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, March 24.
