
No. 7 Women's Tennis Survives Against No. 18 SCAD Atlanta
ATHENS, Tenn.- After playing the day before, the seventh-ranked women's tennis team played an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match on Sunday. The team won a tough match against No. 18 SCAD Atlanta 4-3.
TWU took the first lead of the game by winning the doubles point. Mercedes Chasset and Ivet Prat won the No. 2 doubles match 6-3 while Honoka Tsuji and Julia Richardet won the No. 3 doubles match 6-2 to give the team a 1-0 lead.
To clinch the match win, the Lady Bulldogs won the No. 4 singles, No. 5 singles, and No. 6 singles. Those wins came from Chasset (6-3, 6-1), Prat (2-6, 6-1, 7-5), and Tsuji (6-2, 6-2), respectively.
Tennessee Wesleyan (9-3, 7-0 AAC) will host No. 15 Union Commonwealth University in a conference match on Tuesday. The match is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
