Kills by Janie Merritt and Jia Weathersby along with a service ace by Talynn Wheeler moved a one-point advantage to a 15-9 lead for the Lady Bulldogs. Sydney Nyitrai's service ace and Alley Hibdon's kill brought the end to the set.

The second set saw a closer final score. The first points of the set saw the teams remain close. TWU tried to pull away by scoring five straight points to make the score 16-11. Kentucky Christian scored five of the next six points though to cut the lead to 17-16. The Lady Bulldogs did not let them take over though, holding on to win the set 25-21.
