Women's Cross Country Run to Fourth Place Finish at Mountainside Stride

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The second meet of the season took place for the women's cross country team on Friday. The team made the short trip down to Chattanooga to run in the Mountainside Stride for a 6k race.

Molly Woodby finished in the top five of the field with a time of 25:11 giving her the fifth fastest time in the race. Kaelyn Pluta made it two runners in the top 20 for the Lady Bulldogs as a time of 26:36 placed her 17th overall. A time of 27:30 put Victoria Verran just outside the top 20 in 22nd place while Kinsley Hayes finished the race in 43rd with a time of 31:36. Reagan Goforth (33:17) came in a few spots behind Hayes in 46th place and Anna-Lise Kirton was 53rd in the race, running a time of 40:41.

The team accumulated 108 points in the standings, finishing fourth in the team standings.

Tennessee Wesleyan will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala.
