
Women's Cross Country Preps for AAC Championships at NAIA Appalachian Challenge
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The women's cross country team returned to racing on Friday as the host of the NAIA Appalachian Challenge, a race that is starting to become a premier event in the NAIA. This was the final regular season race for the team.
A time of 20:04 placed Molly Woodby in 84th place. Kaelyn Pluta ran the course in a time of 20:46 to finish 106th while Victoria Verran was 124th with a time of 21:16. The next runner to complete the race was Reagan Goforth, who ran a time of 25:11 to earn 169th place. A few spot later was Chloe Dailey, using a time of 25:55 to finish in 172nd. Kinsley Hayes finished the race in 185th with a time of 31:09 to go along with a 188th place finish by Anna-Lise Kirton with a time of 35:20.
The team accumulated 512 points in the standings, finishing 19th in the team standings.
TWU will lace up their racing shoes again on Friday, Nov. 8 at the AAC Championships. The team will return to Cherokee Park for the race.
