ATHENS, Tenn.- The women's soccer team ended the regular season with a 3-0 win on Monday. The team defeated the Columbia College Koalas in their regular season finale.
A penalty kick helped TWU score their first goal of the game. Krista Eik Hardardottir completed the penalty kick in the 38th minute to give the team a 1-0 lead they carried into the half.
The two remaining goals in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) game were scored by Valerie Koopman and Julia Starchl. Koopman scored the second goal of the contest in the 65th minute off a Natascha Frei assist. Starchl scored the first goal of her career in the 88th minute, helping the team end the game with the 3-0 win.
Laia Roch Font had three saves in the game.
The win moved the team's record to 12-1-2 overall and 12-0-1 in the AAC.
