Women's Soccer Season Ends in Second Round of NAIA Tournament

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- After winning in the first round, the women's soccer team returned to the field in West Palm Beach, Fla., for the second round of the 2024 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament. The team faced the hosts of the site they were playing at, the third-ranked Keiser University Lady Seahawks. The game did not go TWU's way as the team fell 4-0.

The beginning of the game saw the Lady Bulldogs fall in a hole early as Keiser scored a goal 1:15 into the contest. The deficit grew deeper for the Lady Bulldogs when Keiser scored their second goal of the game in the 18th minute. Shots by Addison Smith, Krista Eik Hardardottir, or Lauryn Smith did not find their way into the net, putting the team behind 2-0 at the halftime break.

A shot attempt early on to try to put Tennessee Wesleyan back in the game by Natascha Frei went high. Keiser added their third goal of contest a few moments later in the 58th minute and put the game out of reach in the 71st minute.

Laia Roch Font finished the game with eight saves in the net.

TWU finishes the season with a 15-2-3 overall record.
